According R.L. Polk & Co., a research firm based in Southfield, Michigan, USA. The number of vehicle sales in the world during the year 2012 is expected to rise to 6.7 percent, and the Chinese market as the biggest contributor. They predict the vehicle market of the world will reach 77.7 million units. Of these, 16 percent or reached 17.9 units, will be donated by Chinese market, especially in two major cities, Beijing and Shanghai.
Polk estimates that vehicle sales in China during the year 2011 has reached 15.5 million units. This amount is less than the previous year, due to termination of vehicle purchase tax incentives from the government of China. Meanwhile, Polk predicts the European market will absorb 19 million units of vehicles. The number is still the same as last year.
This situation will encourage the progress of various supporting industries such as spare parts, Vehicle Shipping, car insurance, and others.
